Receive and approve the FY 2008-2012 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) - Amendment #1 and Program of Projects for the Lawrence Transit System The official 30-day comment period for this TIP Amendment started on July 23, 2008 and will end on August 22, 2008. This TIP Amendment will come before the Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board for approval at their August 27, 2008 meeting. The TIP is a multi-year listing of federally funded and/or regionally significant transportation improvement projects plus the Lawrence Transit Program of Projects (POP). Approval of this TIP Amendment will include the addition of Job Access-Reverse Commute (JARC) funding for the Lawrence Transit System, addition of Transportation Enhancement (TE) funding for the Burroughs Creek Rail-Trail Project, deletions and revisions to Douglas County road improvement projects, approval of the Program of Projects (POP) for Lawrence Transit, addition of a map showing the locations of TIP projects, and various other revisions/corrections to the TIP text and tables.
