Weekly Submittals
Purpose of submittals Listing:
The weekly submittals list is provided to give a 'snapshot' in time of the weekly activity level in the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Office. This list of projects is only for current submittals, projects that are currently under review or in the development process are not carried forward on each month's list of submittals.
The list of projects will be updated every Monday by noon, based on submittals from the previous week. Each project listed has a planner's initials next to it. Information on the progress of a project through the review and development process can be obtained by contacting the individual planner identified as the contact person.
The phone number and email address for each planner is provided in a table at the bottom of each monthly listing of submittals. Information regarding general department policies and processes or long-term planning projects such as area or corridor plans, comprehensive plan text amendments, or comprehensive plan updates can be found on the department's website at: www.lawrenceplanning.org.

Information about Project Submittal Deadlines:
The Planning Commission establishes a submittal calendar every year for project applications that come before them for review, action and comment. Based on this calendar, deadlines for submittal of plats, development plans, special use permits [UPR or CUP], and rezoning requests are established. In addition to these types of projects, the Planning Department has a Tuesday noon submittal deadline for site plans (city or county).
