Introducing the Proposed New Working Draft of the Development Code
In March, the City Commission directed staff to work with a consultant to review the Development Code and be responsive to the issues raised by specific groups and other interested parties. City staff has worked with the Stinson Morrison Hecker law firm to review and recommend revisions to the draft Development Code text in response to specific concerns raised by members of the public and City staff. The current postings are of a working draft of the development code. The red-line version provides a visual way to track changes to the document. The 'printer-ready' version provides the document in a clean format that incorporates the revisions into the body of the document without showing the text that has been struck or revised. If your computer system has size limitations for downloading a document, the 'printer-ready' version is the smaller document.
City staff anticipates meeting with members of the public in the coming weeks to discuss this working draft, and for formal hearings to consider the draft to be conducted by the Planning Commission.
